MY

STORY

Welcome! My name is Hope Davis! I am a mother to six beautiful children, from 16 year old twins to a 31 year old daughter, and a grand-mum to one grandchild! I have a Masters Degree in Human Development with a specialization in Early Childhood education, and a Bachelors in Criminal Justice. Since having my children, there is nothing I have loved more than getting to be home and spend time with my family.

 

Working now as an Advanced Cancer Exercise Specialist, Health Coach, Personal Trainer, & Fitness Professional, my work extends into creating and carrying out wellness programs. Such programs include: Cancer Rehabilitation, Parkinson Programs, Multiple Sclerosis Programs, Teaching Yoga, Nutrition, Spin Classes, and providing structured classes and programs for seniors and those with general chronic disease.

 

When I am not teaching, you can find me outdoors hiking, biking, gardening, camping, and spending time in any capacity with my little ones. My creative passions include jewelry making and reading. My philosophy in life is to live it to the fullest, spreading love, peace, and connection in any capacity you can. 

CANCER REHABILITATION & EXERCISE

Here at Hope Davis Health, we understand how difficult it is for cancer survivors to learn to discover their “new normal.” Therefore, we have begun a brand new class that specializes in science-based exercises to help nurture your mind, body, and soul and will help you create a healthy, sustainable lifestyle. 

We have started the cancer rehabilitation and exercise program that will be divided into three phases. Phase one includes a 12-week comprehensive health and wellness program that will address your physical, mental, and emotional needs. This phase will be held online or in person. Phase two and three of this program are currently being created and will be updated shortly.

Our initial intake and assessment will take place to help us understand where you are at in your rehabilitation process so we can decide which phase is appropriate for you. 

Phase one is $249 for non-members of the athletic club and $199 for our members. Payments can be made to our Venmo account: hope-davis-51.

CANCER REHABILITATION PROGRAM

This is a 12 week program that will work towards the whole person, finding their new normal, making a commitment to themselves to invest in their future as a cancer-free, healthy, individual who will succeed in their health and wellness.

Ever wondered what a Spin Class is? Get a great workout in a class environment where there is a great sense of team effort and group motivation. Push yourself and increase your drive with those in the same place as you are!

Roll out your yoga mat and discover my combination of physical and mental exercises to help you realign your life. You can choose between my private or group classes. All classes are geared towards healthy spine mobility, pranayayma, and meditation.

Need a hand taking the first step? I work with you to help you meet your fitness and wellness goals whether it be a one-on-one session or through one of my group classes. The focus in these classes is on functional fitness and improving your quality of life.

GROUP FITNESS

CLASSES

This workout is a form of high intensity interval training designed to get your heart rate up in that very hard anaerobic zone for short periods of time. By doing this, you train all of your energy systems, something that regular cardio workouts usually don't do.

FUNCTIONAL

FITNESS

Functional fitness is a classification of training that prepares the body for real-life movements and activities. Also known as functional training or functional movement, It trains your muscles to work together and prepares them for daily tasks by simulating common movements you might do at home, at work, or in sports.

MAT

PILATES

Mat Pilates is a strengthening and lengthening form of exercise that focuses on your core (trunk) muscles while also training your arms and legs. Mat Pilates is based on the original exercises Joseph Pilates developed to strengthen his own body as a very young man and then began teaching others.

ZUMBA

CLASSES

Zumba is a fitness class that combines dance and fitness moves. Inspired by Latin dance and music, Zumba uses a variety of styles in its routines, including Cumbia, Merengue, Salsa, Reggaeton, Mambo, Rumba, Flamenco, and Hip Hop. Music selections include both fast and slow rhythms to help tone and sculpt the body.

CIRCUIT

TRAINING

Circuit training is a form of body conditioning or endurance training or resistance training using high-intensity aerobics. It targets strength building and muscular endurance. An exercise "circuit" is one completion of all set exercises in the program. When one circuit is complete, one begins the first exercise again for the next circuit. Traditionally, the time between exercises in circuit training is short, often with rapid movement to the next exercise.

FLOW &

CHAIR YOGA

Chair yoga is a general term for practices that modify yoga poses so they can be done while seated in a chair. These modifications make yoga accessible to people who cannot stand, lack the mobility to move easily from standing to seated to supine positions or want a quick break from office work.

SUSPENSION

SYSTEMS

The term suspension training refers to an approach to strength training that uses a system of ropes and webbing called a "suspension trainer" to allow users to work against their own body weight.
